Perseverance — Mars rover, explore its interactive 3D model in Cosmoscope.
See where the Perseverance rover landed on a rotating 3D Mars. Explore its published landing coordinates and mission facts.
Perseverance has explored the ancient river delta and rim of Jezero crater, sealing rock cores in tubes for a possible return to Earth. It carried Ingenuity, the first aircraft to fly on another world. The marker shows its landing site; the rover has since driven tens of kilometres.
Perseverance is marked at its published landing coordinates, fixed to the surface of Mars as the planet turns and orbits the Sun. The rover has since driven away from this point, so the marker shows where its mission began rather than a live position.
